1.    What are the A School Awards?

Global Excellency Awards and The Signature Awards are the two A School Awards under the 4th International Academy Awards. This Award is hosted by ISRD High Commission which is headquartered in Cloud 01 London – United Kingdom, to highlight the best individual and identify the ingenious talents. It is the world’s first prestigious awards in the field of education. It enrolls approximately a million participants from about 9000 schools every year.  The A School Awards first started in the year 2007 in India and now is an Integral part of the IA Awards.


2.    How Many Countries in the world and Cities in India take part?

The International Academy Awards is one of the Largest Awards in the world where participants from 76 countries and 110 cities in India nominate every year.


3.    What are the criteria in selecting the schools?

* A School should be recongised
* Should have a minimum 5 year of Establisment
* Should clear the ISRD Audit

The ISRD Audit Team Audits 200 A-schools, 25 B Schools and 25 T Schools each year from every city. Only the institutions which clear the Audit can take part in these Awards.


4.    How does the Institution Nominate?

Stage 01: The schools (A / B / T) apply for the Audit (Online / Offline)
Stage 02: The ISRD High Commission takes approximately 24 to 48 hrs to announce the status of the Nomination.
Stage 03: The Qualified Schools can now take part in the Awards


5.    Is there any specific number of students that a school can nominate?

Yes, the institution can nominate a maximum of 200 students from each segment which is reserved as the Management Seats.


6.    Can a student be nominated for these Awards directly?

No, unlike any other competition or awards the students cannot nominate directly for the IA Awards. Only the Top Performers in the field of Academics from A Schools (Academic Schools), B Schools (Business Schools) and the T Schools (Technology Schools) who are nominated by their respective Management can take part in these Award Auditions.


7.    What are the criteria for selecting the students?

The management has the discretion to nominate the students for GE Awards and the Signature Awards based on their Academic performances.


8.    What are the different segments?

Segment 01: Grade II to Grade IV
Segment 02: Grade V to Grade VII
Segment 03: Grade VIII to Grade X

10.    How will it benefit the school?

The school which clears the ISRD Board Audits and qualifies for the IA Awards gets a membership with the British Quality Council for a year which is worth 3000 USD. In addition to this, the school can sign a cloud contract with the ISRD Cloud University to Host a Global Delivery Center in India.


11.    What are Auditions?

Every Individual who is nominated by the qualified A School will go through 3 staged processes. Assessment consists of 68 Modules from the IQ, EQ and TQ Methods. ISRD is the First to Introduce the EQ and the TQ Modules in India and South Asia.  The auditions for each segment would be 45 to 60 mins.


12.    Is it like an Olympiad a GK competition or a Quiz?

No, this not a like any competition, exam or Olympiad, where in all the students can take part. Every Student is strictly nominated by the respective Institutions and will be assessed during the Auditions and will be taken up for the next Stage.


13.    How much does it cost?

The Award Auditions Costs 50 USD / 3250 INR which is completely sponsored for students in India and South Asia.  However the Biometric Application is not sponsored for these region which is applicable for students who qualify for the State Awards - Prelim 02


14.    What is a Biometric Testing?

The Nominees are identified with their Biometric identities


15.    When will the Nominations Open and where will it be held?

The Nominations will be opened twice a year depending on the geography June to Dec for Fall Season and Jan to March for the spring. The Award auditions will be held at ISRD Global Delivery centers (GDC)


16.    What is a GDC?

17.    On what subjects should the students prepare?

The students need not prepare on any set topic. The assessments will consist of questions that test the logical reasoning, quantitative ability, response time, analytical skills etc. of the students. The students would be answering questions from 68 different modules from IQ, TQ, and EQ methods.


18.    Will the students be compared to students from other schools?

The overall scores of the school will be compared to other schools. However, the school will be compared to schools, which are recognized by the same board. E.g. ICSE schools will be compared to ICSE schools, CBSE schools with CBSE schools etc.


19.    What are the different levels?

GE Awards is a 4 stage process starting from District Award Auditions, and moving to State Award Auditions, National Award Auditions and finally the International Award Auditions.
 

20.    Will they be getting a certificate of Nomination?

Yes, every student who qualifies the District Auditions will be receiving 2 Certificate – One hard copy certificate and one Digital Certificate.


21.    What are Digital Certificates?

Students who qualify in the Audition will receive a copy of Digital certificate which comprises of Cloud id and the UID to prevent counterfeit .



22.    What do you mean by CLOUD?

Cloud refers to cloud computing. If the school receives the cloud contract, it would a part of the ISRD cloud university. The students log on to ISRD Cloud can interact with students from different countries. Schools getting a cloud contract will have dedicated research labs from ISRD High Commission. The Cloud membership entitles to take part in the all ISRD World Conferences, Boot Camps.


23.    Why didn’t the student get selected for the State Awards even though he/she is a rank holder?

The students are selected based on the scores of the auditions. The students might not have performed well and could have got poor scores; hence they might not be selected.


24.    Why wasn’t my child Nominated?

The students are nominated by institution based on their academic performance. If the student has not been performing consistently there is a chance that he/she might not be nominated.


25.    What is the next process after a student is selected for the State awards?

Once a student is selected for the State Awards, they would be completing a biometric application form, which is a mandatory process to appear for the State Audition . A 5 USD Fee along with 3 Photograph is required during this process .
